Living Room Refresh

Happy Monday! This weekend I worked on a few projects around the house and gave my Living Room a little refresh. Now I know it probably doesn't sound super exciting, but adding a few new things can change a room.

I headed to Home Goods, one of my go-to stores for home décor. The couch in this room is on the darker side so I searched for lighter pillows to lighten it up. I found two cream pillows that had blue stripes, these worked with the touches of blue I already had going on. Then I came across a beautiful new throw that I knew would be perfect for draping over one of the chairs and adding a little more color...I was set!

As I started to put the room together I remembered two blue stripped pillows I bought in the fall from Target's dollar spot. The one side said "Happy Fall" and the other side was a blue stripe so I flipped it around and had a new pillows for the chairs...SCORE!! I added the other pillows to the couch and draped the throw over the chair. Everything was looking great but I needed to add some warmth to the room. I started shopping my house for some greenery and grabbed a topiary tree from my dining room that added the warmth I needed. I rearrange a few other items and I was done, I had a fresh new look!!

If you watched stories yesterday I walked through the simple budget friendly changes I made. Just adding a few new pillows, a new throw and shopping my home gave this room a total refresh. The total cost for this refresh was under $60.00. Now that's what I call budget friendly!!
