A Christmas Miracle

Can you believe we only have five more days to Christmas? I don't know about you but I still have a lot on my "to do" list. Eeeek!! I love December with all the build up during the month and so much to do, decorating, baking, shopping, wrapping presents, holiday parties etc. It's fun but exhausting. By December 26th I start thinking about getting back to "normal" if there is such a thing. Don't take me the wrong way I do LOVE Christmas!!

This year has been a rough one for my family, in January my sister was diagnosed with colon cancer. Not only was this a shock but brought back memories of our father when he was diagnosed with colon cancer seventeen years ago. He has been cancer free for sixteen years so we prayed for the best outcome for my sister. In February she had surgery the exact date as our father seventeen years ago. While we sat and waited in the family waiting area we asked God why was this happening to our family seventeen years later? We knew he had a plan. After six months of chemo therapy, I am thrilled to report this week my sister had her first scan and showed no cancer!! My son said to me "Mom this is a Christmas Miracle" he sure is right.

This was Gods plan....a Christmas Miracle!

Looking at my "to do" list I've come to learn it's not important. I think we all put so much pressure on ourselves during this time of the year we forget what Christmas is really about, celebrating the birth of Jesus....A Christmas Miracle.

xoxo,

Sandy
