Pull up your chair and grab a cup of coffee! Today is the final lesson in the first series of Decorating 101. Be sure to watch for the second series sometime in February.
Let's get started!
Painting can make any room look brand new. This is so cheap, simple, but yet it's amazing to see the huge impact. All it takes is a can of paint and a foam roller. Painting walls a vibrant hue and a room instantly comes to life. If you prefer a subdued color scheme consider the effect of a picture frame molding or pretty huge gallery wall. The possibilities are endless.
To make a room look bigger, for an optimum effect, select soft tones of off-white, blue and green, and always remember that brighter rooms look bigger and more inviting. Try painting your wall trim and moldings in a lighter color than your walls. By doing so, the walls will appear farther back, making your room seem bigger. If you are starting from scratch use your paint color to dictate your décor. If your not starting from scratch use the paint to tie in with your décor or make a statement in the room. Take a look at 2019 color trends.
