Easy DIY Christmas Hoop

Hello buddies! I have an affordable and quick DIY to share with you today. Grab a cup of coffee and pull up a chair. This is a super easy project even for beginners. The whole thing took me about 30 minutes (after shopping) not bad right?

I made a trip to Hobby Lobby to gather my supplies, everything was on sale except the embroidery hoop. I had the hot glue gun at home so my total bill was around $13.00….score, right?

Materials you will need:

1. Embroidery hoop

2. Floral scissors

3. Hot glue gun

4. Floral stems 5-6

5. Floral tape

So for the first step, I laid out my supplies and then started to cut apart the floral stems, believe it or not one stem goes along way. You need to cut the stem pretty far down so you just have the flower. Next I laid out on the floor how I wanted the arrangement to look. This helped me come up with a template of how I would glue the pieces on the hoop. This is trial and error until you have it the way you want it to look. Once I had created the look I wanted I started to glue away, with a few of the flowers, I used the floral tape to make them extra secure. I found it easiest to start in the center and work out. The great thing about hot glue is if you don’t like the way it looks you can easily remove the piece without ruining it. Make sure to give each flower or stem a few minutes to dry before you move to the next piece. Once I had the pieces glued I let them all dry for about 10 minutes. Then I added the gold Merry Christmas piece that I was using as an ornament on my tree. I thought this would add a little sparkle to the hoop (Hobby Lobby has similar ones around $2). I simply glued the string to the top of the hoop and I was done.
